The handcrafted occasional chair from Inartisan has beautiful unique characteristics. The natural feature is the varying colours, grains, textures & shapes. The timber used in this piece is recycled teak, making it an environmentally responsible choice that also adds a beautiful warmth to the home. With woven jute detail and the option to add a matching footstool.
Teak has a golden honey colour when newly made, but after time it naturally fades into a pale grey patina with natural splits & added texture. This colour & texture change is only cosmetic and does not affect the strength of the wood. If you like to protect the surface of the wood, and slow the natural ageing of the wood there are a couple of things you can do.

For Indoors: We recommend ‘Feast Watson – HARD WAX in Natural’ if you’d like to maintain the natural honey colour & protect the surface from spills and marks. This is only needed seasonally to effectively protect the surface.
